Phillip B. Courten
Phillip is a Managing Director and founding member of THA. He has more than 34 years of experience in investment banking and has successfully executed a wide variety of capital raising and strategic transactions for both leading and emerging growth technology companies.
Before founding THA, Phillip was a Managing Director at Ridgecrest Capital Partners, ran the Technology Investment Banking practice at Wedbush Securities and led BMO Capital Markets U.S. technology investment banking efforts. Phillip was a Partner at New York private equity firm Capstone Partners and held senior investment banking positions at Banc of America Securities, Montgomery Securities and Morgan Stanley. He has worked extensively in the mobile & wireless, digital media and software sectors, successfully completing transactions with a wide range of leading technology companies including Spirent, ORBCOMM, Numerex, CalAmp, RealD, Kenexa, Citrix, Trimble, Synchronoss, Convergys, JDS Uniphase, NetGear, Ancestry.com, Motorola, Freescale, Andrew Corp, Lojack, Limelight, Siebel Systems, Titan Corporation, Adobe, and a host of others
Phillip has an MBA from New York University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Babson College. He is an avid outdoorsman and photographer who loves to sail, kayak, road & mountain bike.
